THE MOST COMMON QUESTIONS

  • Are your stones ethically sourced?
    Yes. 100% yes. We are perfectionists when it comes to the quality of our jewelry, and that starts with our sourcing. We work with suppliers who abide by the Kimberley Process, so we only work with conflict-free materials. Rest assured—we would never work with or sell a conflict diamond or gemstone. We’re fully committed to caring for the environment, maintaining high ethical standards, practicing sustainable sourcing methods, and using recycled gold.
  • What are your store hours?
    Our jeweler works at our studio here in Mammoth Lakes, California, but we don’t have a traditional, brick-and-mortar storefront. So, we don’t have regular store hours, and our studio is available by appointment.
  • Do you make custom designs?
    Yes, we specialize in handcrafting a wide variety of unique and made-to-order pieces that tell stories with gemstones and gold. "I have an heirloom stone. Can I use it in my setting?" Yes, certainly. We will reset diamonds and gemstones that are GIA or AGL certified. If your heirloom stone is not certified then we will be send it to GIA or AGL for certification*. *Clients are responsible for certification costs.
  • I loved a one-of-a-kind or limited-edition piece, but it sold already. Can you make me another one?"
    We are so sorry that happened! When those pieces sell, they’re (almost always) out of stock, but there’s a chance that we happen to have the stone you need. It really depends on the availability of the stones. We love dreaming up new designs, and our collections are ever-changing. So be sure to check our New Arrivals to find the pieces that are fresh from the jewelers’ bench.
  • I have my eye on a limited-edition piece, and don’t know my ring size. What if it sells out before I find out my size?"
    Don’t worry—You can purchase your ring now and select "Mail me a sizer" in the size drop-down menu. That tells our team to hold off on the sizing until you’ve had a chance to try out the sizer.
  • I don’t live in the US. Can I use a size conversion chart online to find my US ring size?
    We don’t recommend it. Sizing varies from jeweler to jeweler. Instead, use one of our sizers to avoid having to send your ring back for resizing.
  • I can’t be there to sign for my package. What should I do?
    No problem. Just shoot us an email at hello@sierrajewelryco.com, and our shipping coordinator can help you redirect your package or have the nearest UPS sorting facility hold it for you. (Important Note: Due to insurance restrictions, we have to handle the redirecting and communicating with UPS for you.)
  • What is Sierra Jewelry Co's return policy?
    ALL SALES ARE FINAL. If for any reason you are dissatisfied with your Online purchase, you may exchange or receive store credit for your item(s) within 3 days from the date of arrival of shipment. On certain cases if approved by store associate we may refund money with a 20% restocking fee applied. We gladly accept items that are free from scratches, blemishes, sizing or alterations, and without signs of wear or tear or a 20% restocking fee will be deduced from store credit or refund. On Special Orders such as items with engraving, special ring sizes, custom jewelry and chain measurements all sales are final.If for any reason your delivered item has any defects you can get in touch with us and we will accordingly arrange return of product, so we can fix it for you and ship it back.
